What is a Momentum Summit? Momentum Summits are training events that will equip and empower youth pastors and volunteer youth leaders for growing a healthy youth ministry. Momentum Summits provide the following:
· Great coaching by one or more of the National Youth Ministries (NYM) leadership team
· Contemporary workshop and seminar content on a variety of youth ministry topics
· Develops practical leadership tools for a lasting youth ministry
· Builds and develops strategic youth leader networks/relationships
Who can host a Momentum Summit? Momentum Summits are typically hosted by the District Youth Director in conjunction with his/her local youth pastors and youth leaders. Churches who are interested in hosting a Momentum Summit should contact their District Youth Director.
Who provides the logistical and administrative planning for a Momentum Summit? Logistical and administrative planning is provided by the host district or church. The staff at NYM is available to consult with the District Youth Director and/or youth leader for guidance on ways to make this a successful summit for youth leaders.
How does NYM contribute to a Momentum Summit? NYM provides content, coaching and planning helps. This includes the following:
· Focus and concept (to include a strategy/schedule) for the Momentum Summit
· One or more of the NYM leadership team deliver (though not exclusively) workshops and general sessions – content can be specific to the district’s interests and needs
· Provides strategic tools and resources for the Momentum Summit (to include the 52.com) at conference discount pricing
How do I begin planning for a Momentum Summit? The host District Youth Director and/or youth leader should contact the NYM office to secure summit dates and other planning details. Once the dates have been selected, then the necessary planning can begin.
