National Youth Ministries encourages all local churches to recognize a special day of worship with their students. Sunday, April 20, 2008 has been set apart by the Assemblies of God as “National Youth Day.” This is a day to connect you and the youth of your church. There are four vital connections in helping students become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ:
Focus your "Connecting Youth Day" specifically on the aspect of connecting youth with God. The new FIRE BIBLE Student Edition is a great way to help students establish and strengthen their connection with God. Click on the adjacent "Josiah Revolution" pdf file. This sermon, written by Pastor Gary Hoyt of Bellevue Christian Center in Bellevue, Nebraska, effectively connects youth with God and is a great resource ready for your use. National Youth Day enables a church to highlight and make these connections through a special worship service. This is a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their love for God in the body of Christ. Let’s lead our youth to be the next generation of champions for Jesus Christ! We at National Youth Ministries are privileged to be a catalyst to our local churches. As we work together and develop new resources for our 9,000 churches that are without a youth pastor, will you join us by taking a special offering on this day? Any donations can be made by clicking donate or by mailing your donation to the following address: National Youth Ministries Thank you for your generosity! |
